It's so apparent that when you do something for a person to make them feel special or go out of your way to care for them they completely adore you and think well of you.
Reverse the circumstances and if you by chance annoy they same set of persons or do something which they don't like and even though they have/have not done something similar to you, they act like complete strangers oblivious to the fact that you care and feel for them.
And as it is when I go through these random thoughts the few most important people in my life seem to be the ones acting that way.
I guess in the end you should just take a stand. Give as much as you are liable to receive...
And I have always believed that "Expectation" is the worst you can expect from anyone except yourself...
